AMELIE to engage the public at UCLH Research Open Day 2026

The AMELIE project will be showcased at the UCLH Research Open Day on 9 July 2026, an interactive event celebrating medical research and healthcare innovation at University College London Hospitals (UCLH).

Held at the UCLH Euston Road campus, the event brings together researchers, clinicians, patients, hospital staff, and members of the public to explore how research is improving healthcare and shaping future treatments.

At the AMELIE stand, visitors will learn about the project’s work to develop a regenerative medicine approach for the treatment of faecal incontinence (FI), a condition that affects more than 67 million people across Europe. AMELIE is investigating how cell-based therapies could offer a new treatment option for patients living with this challenging condition.

Through discussions and interactive activities, the AMELIE team will explain the science behind the project, its progress to date, and the potential benefits for patients, healthcare professionals, and healthcare systems.

The event will also provide an opportunity to collect feedback from patients and the public, which will help us to ensure that the project’s future development reflects the needs and expectations of end users. Visitors will meet members of the AMELIE consortium, explore project materials, and find out how to stay informed about upcoming activities and next steps.

As the project moves closer to clinical translation and commercialisation, AMELIE is also keen to connect with potential strategic partners, investors, and organisations interested in advancing innovative regenerative medicine solutions.
