Envolve a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de 13 organiza\u00e7\u00f5es em nove pa\u00edses para desenvolver e efetuar investiga\u00e7\u00e3o. O projeto ser\u00e1 coordenado pela UCL e dirigido por Richard Day, Professor de Tecnologia de Medicina Regenerativa na UCL.<\/p>\n

O projeto AMELIE \u00e9 constitu\u00eddo por um cons\u00f3rcio altamente interdisciplinar de especialistas que prop\u00f5em uma nova interven\u00e7\u00e3o regenerativa utilizando c\u00e9lulas aut\u00f3logas derivadas do m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9tico (ASMDC) para restaurar a fun\u00e7\u00e3o do m\u00fasculo do esf\u00edncter. Os cientistas v\u00e3o ligar as ASMDC a microtransportadores implant\u00e1veis para melhorar a entrega e o enxerto de c\u00e9lulas em doentes com IF. Esta estrat\u00e9gia ser\u00e1 testada num ensaio cl\u00ednico aleat\u00f3rio. AMELIE<\/h1><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>AMELIE (Anchored Muscle cells for Incontinence) \u00e9 um projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o colaborativa com a dura\u00e7\u00e3o de 5 anos, financiado pelo Programa-Quadro da Uni\u00e3o Europeia (Horizonte 2020). Envolve a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de 13 organiza\u00e7\u00f5es em nove pa\u00edses para desenvolver e efetuar investiga\u00e7\u00e3o. O projeto ser\u00e1 coordenado pela UCL e liderado por Richard Day, Professor de Tecnologia de Medicina Regenerativa na UCL. A terapia celular pode restaurar a fun\u00e7\u00e3o muscular? A incontin\u00eancia fecal \u00e9 um grave problema de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica que afecta mais de 67 milh\u00f5es de pessoas na Europa. A AMELIE preocupa-se principalmente com o efeito da les\u00e3o do esf\u00edncter anal por parto, cirurgia ou traumatismo. Muitos destes doentes n\u00e3o s\u00e3o adequados para as op\u00e7\u00f5es cir\u00fargicas actuais. A nossa investiga\u00e7\u00e3o tem como objetivo proporcionar uma nova forma de tratamento regenerativo, como se explica neste pequeno v\u00eddeo.Parcerias O cons\u00f3rcio AMELIE \u00e9 constitu\u00eddo por 13 parceiros de toda a Europa, incluindo o Reino Unido, Portugal, Espanha, Fran\u00e7a, Alemanha, It\u00e1lia, \u00c1ustria, Dinamarca e Pa\u00edses Baixos.
